Pair of Decorative Greek-Themed Prints

Item number: 2887

Pair of decorative prints after The Complete Collection of Antiquities from the cabinet of Sir William Hamilton
These framed Greek scenes offer rich coloration and lively subject matter.
One is a loose adaptation of the kidnapping of the daughters of Leucippus and the second represents Hesperides and the Tree of the Golden Apples, both interpreted by Pierre-Francois d'Hancarville from the hydra by the Meidias Painter in the British Museum.
These handsome pieces would lend a stately presence to any room.
